Mowgli, a human infant, is found alone in an Indian jungle by a black panther, Bagheera after an attack by Shere Khan, a fearsome tiger. He is soon adopted by the pack of wolves and grows up learning the 'Law of the Jungle' from animals he befriends and experiences he learns from.
